Like my imagination, the body of work is a conversation of free exchanges of my hands tending to something between me and my making. I carry on my life after the making; without the object, I birth that “thing,” usually made of anything found, domestic, upcycled everyday objects, that speak to our existence. I am a contemporary multi-disciplinary and performance artist, and I work the surfaces that reflect life and all that is contained within the nature of being.
Often merging mediums of photography, painting, installation, and sculpture, my mediums challenge me in the making. I research life like a scientist, I am fascinated, and my work gives me life. I construct, deconstruct and reconstruct in the studio and transform dark into light. It’s soul food that satiates, and we perform acts of humor and create joy in our wayfinding. The final object is often ever-changing, and the “art-as-fact” is my silver lining in this thing “coined” life.
We are all experiencing human conditions, and my work is a peripatetic practice that gives way to investigating the matters at hand.
